Welcome to High Country Furniture & Design. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, showrooms located in Waynesville, Downtown Waynesville, and Hendersonville, North Carolina, and any furniture, design, and consignment services we provide (together, the "Services"). By visiting our showrooms, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. About High Country Furniture & Design

High Country Furniture & Design offers curated home furnishings, custom furniture, interior design services, and consignment furniture through our showrooms and online store.

2. Products and Pricing

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed.
  • We make every effort to display accurate colors, materials, and dimensions, but variations in fabric, wood grain, finish, and screen display may occur.
  • Availability of in-stock and showroom items is not guaranteed until an order is placed and confirmed.

3. Custom Furniture and Special Orders Policy

  • Special Orders are non-refundable. A store credit may be issued if canceled within 5 days of the date of purchase.
  • Invoices. Please go over all details with your salesperson and make sure every item, address, phone number, and email are accurate.
  • Shipping dates on special orders are estimates only, based on production and availability at the time of your sale.
  • Invoices must be paid in full before we can schedule a delivery.
  • Measure before you order. We cannot be responsible if an item you purchased does not fit your space.
  • Samples. We cannot guarantee exact matches due to dye lot and natural wood variation.

4. Payment Terms

  • We accept the payment methods listed at checkout or in our showrooms.
  • Full payment is due prior to delivery unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
  • Returned payments or declined cards may delay production or delivery of your order.
  • Sales tax will be applied in accordance with North Carolina law.

5. Interior Design Services

  • Design services may require a separate design agreement outlining scope, fees, and deliverables.
  • Design consultation fees, if applicable, are disclosed before booking and are generally non-refundable once the consultation has taken place.
  • Product recommendations and design renderings are proprietary to High Country Furniture & Design.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party vendors, contractors, or shipping carriers.

6. Shipping and Delivery

  • We offer white-glove delivery and standard shipping options depending on the item and your location.
  • Delivery dates are estimates; we are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
  • Please inspect all items at delivery. Damage must be reported within 24 hours to be eligible for repair, replacement, or claim.
  • Someone 18 years or older must be present to accept delivery.

7. Return Policy

  • In-stock items: full money back if canceled within 24 hours of purchase.
  • In-stock items canceled after 24 hours but within 5 days may be issued a store credit.
  • Special order items cannot be canceled and are non-refundable.
  • Consignment and one-of-a-kind items are final sale.
  • Your sales order must be paid in full before delivery can be scheduled.

8. Consignment (High Country Furniture Consignment)

  • All consigned items are subject to review and approval prior to acceptance.
  • Consignment terms are outlined in a separate consignment agreement.
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to consigned items beyond what is outlined in the consignment agreement.
  • Unsold consigned items not retrieved by the end of the agreed period may be donated or disposed of at our discretion.

9. Warranties

  • Furniture we sell may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty; terms vary by brand.
  • We do not offer additional warranties beyond those provided by the manufacturer unless stated in writing.
  • Normal wear and tear, improper care, and damage from misuse are not covered.

10. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on our website is our property and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.

11. SMS and Email Communications

By providing your phone number or email address, you may receive order, appointment, and promotional communications from us. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We do not sell or share your contact information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, High Country Furniture & Design is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your purchase or use of our Services. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the item or service in question.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless High Country Furniture & Design, its owners, and employees from claims arising from your misuse of our Services or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Haywood County and Henderson County, North Carolina.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
